Mount Abu Travel guide on a Budget- @ Rajasthan Tour

The journey from Jodhpur to Mt. Abu is about 5 hours by road. Mt. Abu is the cooling (in my case icing) comfort in the middle of the warm Royal trip to Rajasthan. Of course another aspect is, it’s the popular hill station of Rajasthan and tightly packed on the weekends being very close to Gujarat as well. People of this state or neighboring state along with long haul tourists from and out of India, often prefer to spend their weekends here.

Carrying thick warm clothes, especially November onward (which should also include gloves, woolen cap, muffler, socks etc) is very important otherwise one can opt for becoming a frozen Rabdi in that bone prickling cold. Though to break the monotony of regularly becoming sweating wax, a change of spending 1-2 nights under the cozy blanket is quite comforting. Where the mornings are good to soak in the Vitamin D with a pair of light warm clothes to warn you, evenings are better to be under those solid heavy jackets and sweaters, and looking for hot smoking coffee. Mt. Abu is also a place for cheap yet chic shopping, be it junk jewelries, warm clothes, souvenirs, gifts and many more. Don’t miss the evening shopping here.

Jodhpur Travel guide on a Budget- @ Rajasthan Tour

The road journey from Jaisalmer to Jodhour may take around 6 hours; however this journey can be stretched to an entire day if you want to stop by to some places en route. The list is given below, but before that, I should mention, how are these long and I wish never to end road journeys of Rajasthan from one city to another feels like?

The glazing, polished smooth roads are long, straight and going beyond in between the dijon yellow barren land stretched across both the horizons. At places the dusty land is changing into clay brown, on it dabbed some dark bushy green which haven’t bathed for months. But these half dead land seems suddenly gleeful when a berry blue peacock is spotted or may be a peafowl at times, even it’s excited (but less, when the camera isn’t ready) if one or two or may be a small group of dim yam brown Deer are spotted while the car runs ahead. The highways are mucky graphic and shadowy during sunset. So the point is, this long road journeys in Rajasthan are a very fond part of the entire tour.

It takes around 6-6.30 hours to reach Jaisalmer from Bikaner by road. This is the golden city of Rajasthan, the ‘finally dream come true’ place to enjoy the golden dessert, the red poppy sunset, the vigorous culture.. This city is surely magical.

Bikaner Travel Guide on a Budget- @ Rajasthan Tour

My trip to Rajasthan started from Bikaner (though many people tend to skip this city, don’t know why!), a simple city with a shiny and vibrant look of the state, has been very refreshing. Better if the choice of cities is from simple to gradually to more royal while planning the itinerary for Rajasthan, which keeps the charm of the places in order and the child like amusement in you also gets the flow of interest at a proper pace.

Places to visit in Bikaner, Rajasthan:

The two main attractions here are Karni Mata Temple and Junagarh Fort.

Royals and their Royalty- My #Rajasthan Travel Plan on a Budget- Planning Itinerary

Just like the vast dry land, the stories of this ancient province are also stretched along the horizon; there is a reason that the sun blazes like a flame here, because the forts are still standing high with pride like a resilient warrior, bearing the battle scars on its rock stone walls, the saga still continues, so much is talked about the valiantness, and much is still untold may be.. For me it’s still the bewildering land of well-kept secrecy veiled under the imperial royalty (or may be my partial preference for mystery is talking..), this is the land of royalty well preserved, Rajasthan.
