Tell me you can resist a visit to Disneyland ever in your life even after getting a golden a chance!! You can’t right? You seriously can’t.. I mean How could you!! & why would you!! Tokyo visit fulfilled my 3 big agendas of life.. Harry Potter Studio, kasukabe and Disneyland. Not that I won’t have to visit another HP studio in other part of the world or any other Disneyland in this lifetime.. but at least I got to do one.. Or at least I could start at one point. So grateful of my GOD for letting me do this.. for making it happen for me..

At so many points this trip was so overwhelming for me.. maybe I will explain that in my coming posts or maybe I will never be able to explain thoroughly.. but coming to this trip.. I know it will be very obvious that I loved this visit.. it was beautiful.. no complaint at all.. but it’s the experience that counts.. I am sure, you ask anyone, they will have different experience to share in their own version.. & that’s the magic of Disneyland.. its truly and exquisitely magical.. love is the word you can use for this place..

How to Go: so again.. I will give it from Sinjuku. You have to go to Maihama Station, I had to change train in Tokyo station. At Tokyo station you get clear signs of going to Disneyland/ Maihama station.. hence you won’t get lost while looking for your connecting train.

Once at Maihama station, actually you get to see Disneyland even before entering the station. Its right outside and so well connected. So one side of the station is Disney world and Disney resort and other side is Disney Sea. You need to take a train to go to Disneysea, this train is operated by Disneyland, hence it will be easy for you to connect once you are at Maihama station.

I chose Disneyworld, hence this post will be all about Disneyworld. Call me a kid.. but a first time Disneyland visitor should go to Disneyworld first not ‘Disney SEA!!’

Entrance: to enter Disneyland, you have to prebook your ticket online. You can book it on Disneyland’s website or with your preferred travel agent or like me you may book it on Klook. There is no ticket counter there, hence you must have your confirmed ticket to enter Disneyland.

Disney resort App: keep the Disneyland Tokyo app installed in your phone, and register with your confirmed ticket’s QR. The app will start working once you enter Disneyland. You will need this to have your tour inside. So it’s a must.

Also, you can buy a premier access so that you get prior entry at every attraction and some lucky ones may request for a free premier access, which is given to a selective number or guests.

Opening hours: Usually Disneyland is opened from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. But there are days when Disneyland is opened till 6:30 in the evening if there is any private event booked, you only get to know this closer to the date and on their website. This rite is reserved with Disneyland, you can’t do anything about it. And ask me how do I know.. the day I visited it was opened till 6:30pm. Hence, I can tell you better.

  • So first and foremost, you have to activate your Disney resort app. As you do, you get the wait time for all the attractions and you can plan your walk around the place accordingly. I had to skip Winne the pooh,  Minnie’s make over and a few as the wait time was about 2 hours.. couldn’t wait that long standing than making my time roaming around, sipping in the joy everywhere.
  • Food: there are quite a few places available, again, many of them only let you enter If you have ordered on the app or else no.
  • There are a few small counters selling Churros which are very famous in Disneyland, though I found them quite overrated.. but they saved me as well, as I couldn’t manage availability at any restaurant when I was starving. Then there a popcorn counters, ice cream counters where you can get food easily without any online order, but you have to stand in the queue.
  • Be prepared, that you have to wait at every attraction, Disneyland has.. be it 5 minutes to 50 minutes.. you can choose as per your suitability.
  • You have Cinderella’s castle, Mickey’s Philar music, winnie the pooh’s hut and many more. There is this a jungle train ride, a cruise and so much more.
  • Then there are Mickey, Minnie and all Disney characters are roaming around, people taking pictures with them. It’s a wonderland.
  • There are souvenir shops, you can buy dresses, soft toys, chocolates and so much. You are in a different world here. Where everything is so colourful, where everyone forgets their sorrows, worries for sometime and immersed in surprise, joy and wondering everywhere. I loved this place. Maybe I should look for a job here!!
  • There are washrooms available everywhere.. hence you wont have any issue if need to use them.

Everything is so good.. YES! The entire walk was just great. You have to stay till it closes. No matter when you enter, you must be here till the end, and I have a valid reason for it.

Firstly 12 hours in the Disneyland won’t bore you at all, you wont be tired, even if you are, the last 15 minutes is gonna take your breath away.. you are going to have a lifetime experience, at least I felt that.

Firstly you should not miss the closing parade, when all characters come together and take tour of the entire Disneyland. As I told you the day I visited they were open till 6:30, hence the parade took place in the afternoon and I saw it from a distance as I was in the queue for Philar magic. Even from a distance it was looking dreamlike. I got a glimpse of Moana!!

Then by 5:30 in the evening people started gathering around the castle, some booked their seat at the dedicated sitting spot (through the app) and the majority at all around the castle area. For what? For the closing show. And my dear Readers,Trust me.. this. Is. A. lifetime. show. The closing light and sound show at the Cinderella castle makes your day and life. Loving it is an understatement.. they bring all the characters together, the firework, the lighting, music.. it’s a grandeur of a show.. everyone could feel the heat of the fire, even if standing 200 meters away.. I don’t know how that heat was touching my cheek in that chilled evening but I still can remember every bit of it.. the whoos aahhhs!! and that’s what is the success of putting up a lifetime show like this.. and just imagine this happens every evening.. only the viewers are different. You can’t miss it for the world.. you should should should wait till this closing show.

Disney resort and Disneyworld are next to each other. A 1 night stay is not bad at all. You should stay here for a night provided you have the budget. For 2 days, of course you have to buy 2 days pass. But again it’s highly recommended. I didn’t have the budget to stay here but I don’t have any complaint as I loved my one day tour here.

I don’t think I have anything more to add.. that’s it for Disneyland.. more to share with you.. will follow soon.. do leave some comments please.. I love reading your thoughts.. how do you like my posts? What else you want to me add? Anything.. see you and take care..
